Position: Senior Procurement Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
- Control the purchasing of materials/services on behalf of the company and its projects, optimizing costs, observing requested time limits and quality standards;
- Collaborate in defining project vendor list;
- Conduct market and product research and costs analysis;
- Address specific purchasing needs and specifications with the department;
- Follow up potential suppliers during preparation phase of tenders and guarantee necessary secrecy during tendering phase;
- Assist and manage the team members during their daily work;
- Assign work to team members commensurate with job level;
- Prepare periodic and special reports and maintains current data on vendors and new products as well as appropriate records and form;
- Supervise office staff engaged in the processing of purchasing documents such as specifications bids, shipping releases, purchase requests and other documents;
- Analyze vendor terms and conditions;
- Coordinate with the requisitioning department to obtain required administrative information and/or documents necessary for processing the procurement;
- Issue periodic reports and/or on request on progress of activities;
- Manage with agenda development for pre-bid and pre-award meetings for project procurement;
- Help coordinate activities with operations and maintenance team members;
- Solicit and help tabulate commercial evaluations from bids;
- Prepare purchase orders, deal with subcontracts, and help with sub-consultant agreements;
- Assist in the execution of online bidding records;
- Ensuring regional and local input is duly considered in all Global Supply Management Projects;
- Driving implementation and compliance of Global Supply Management Strategies and ensuring that common standards, procedures and processes are followed, and best practices are utilize to improve PO life cycle constantly;
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Superior.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant manufacturing and/or commercial experience;
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing role is desirable;
• Good PC knowledge, incl. PowerPoint, Word and Excel;
• Knowledge of regulations and laws (Incoterms);
• Good communication, coordination and organization skills;
• Self-discipline, mature attitudes and behaviors;
• Well organized, proactive and a good communicator;
• Ability to work as part of a team;
• Commitment to safe working practices, policies and legislation;
• Enthusiastic and hard working;
• Fluency in Azerbaijani and English languages (both verbal and written).
