Micro Planning Specialist

Obligations

  • Optimizing shelf space to ensure products are displayed in the most attractive and functional way.
  • Making the most of store space by arranging shelves, aisles and displays to ensure customer flow and accessibility.
  • Analyzing sales data to make product placement decisions, ensuring high demand products are readily available.
  • Designing product displays to attract customers' attention and encourage purchase.
  • Implement planograms (visual representations of store layout) to ensure uniformity across multiple locations.
  • Organizing promotions in close cooperation with suppliers and vendors.
  • Control customer flow by intuitively organizing store layouts to improve the overall shopping experience.
  • Track foot traffic to ensure optimal product placement for impulse buys and high-selling products.
  • Adjust layouts to accommodate high traffic or new product arrivals to accommodate seasonal changes or special events.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to ensure product promotions and seasonal campaigns are integrated into the layout.
  • Work with supply chain and inventory teams to ensure product availability in line with layout to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
  • Liaising with store management to understand store-specific layout requirements and customer preferences.
  • Analyze sales performance by product and location to determine if layout changes are needed.
  • Continually adjust store layout based on customer feedback and sales trends.
  • Testing different layouts (A/B testing) to find out which configurations perform better in terms of sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Instruct personnel on appropriate product placement and layout standards.
  • Develop store plan rules that can be followed by store teams in different branches, ensuring consistency.
  • Determining the customer flow part of the store.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Commerce, Retail Management, Interior Design, Business Administration or Marketing.
  • 2-5 years of experience in retail space planning, merchandising or store design.
  • Experience in planogram software for designing and implementing store layouts.
  • Previous experience in a multi-store environment, especially chain stores where layout consistency is important.
  • Proficiency in space planning tools and software to create and manage store layouts.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate sales data and customer flow trends, identify trends and opportunities for layout improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple layout elements ensuring precision and accuracy during layout and design.
  • Ability to design visually appealing and client-friendly layouts.
  • Ability to use data to make decisions regarding product placement, store layout and inventory optimization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work frequently in different locations, meet deadlines and collaborate with a team.
  • Ability to identify layout or design issues and implement solutions to meet operational and sales objectives.
  • Ability to work closely with other departments such as marketing, supply chain and store operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate layout plans to store staff, management and other stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of retail operations and the specific needs of chain stores, including customer behavior, product categories and promotional periods.
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising principles to create attractive displays to increase customer appeal and encourage purchase.
  • Ability to adapt to changing retail trends, consumer preferences and seasonal demands and adjust layouts in a timely manner.
  • Ability to travel to different stores for chains with multiple branches.
  • Ability to manage physical tasks such as layout changes or window replacement during store openings.
  • Knowledge of product categories.
  • Information about traffic, momentum and profitable products.
  • Ability to recognize products that take up space (large size, small size products, etc.)
