Responsibilities
- Develop and implement general store layout, including positioning of aisles, departments, product categories and equipment.
- The layout should be suitable for the flow of customers and ensure smooth movement in the store.
- Effectively divide space into different product categories to optimize sales and inventory management.
- Adjust space assigned to departments or products based on sales data and trends.
- Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to create an aesthetically appealing environment.
- Ensure strategic placement of highly profitable or in-demand products.
- Ensure consistency of store layouts between different branches, allowing for local or regional differences based on customer preferences and store size.
- Develop and maintain design standards that can be applied across multiple locations.
- Using data analytics to understand customer movement patterns and optimize store layouts to improve the shopping experience.
- Work closely with operations, sales and marketing teams to ensure the project supports the broad business objectives.
- Coordinating with architects, store managers and designers when opening new stores or remodeling existing stores.
- Allocate special places for advertising on the facade and inside the store and ensure their strategic placement
- Planning suitable and effective logistics systems and areas to facilitate the receipt of goods.
- Plan the technical requirements within the store, including lighting, CCTV surveillance systems, ATMs and equipment supporting financial transactions such as e-manat.
- Planning the location of elevators, escalators and other suitable facilities to increase convenience and accessibility in stores or commercial spaces.
- Track the impact of store plans on sales performance and customer satisfaction.
- Regularly review store plan effectiveness and make adjustments based on feedback and sales data.
- Ensure the store layout complies with safety regulations and provides accessible routes for customers with disabilities.
- Using digital tools to design and simulate store layouts.
- Competitor analysis and study of market demands, customer behavior and trends in the sector
- Determining appropriate standards for various sales areas and organizing work according to these standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, retail management, spatial planning or similar field.
- 3-5 years experience in spatial planning, store layout design or retail management.
- Experience working with multiple store retail chains and understanding of large-scale layout optimization.
- Previous experience in visual merchandising or related field preferred.
- Experience in floor plan design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp or other 3D modeling tools.
- Familiarity with spatial planning and design analytics tools.
- Data analysis skills to understand customer behavior, sales trends and store performance metrics.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, design, product placement strategies and customer flow patterns.
- Ability to analyze store performance data, identify inefficiencies and make planning decisions based on data.
- Strong problem solving skills to optimize store layouts for both profitability and customer experience.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to coordinate project changes, remodeling or new store openings.
- Ability to analyze site characteristics, potential and requirements.
- Ability to confirm the topography of the area by comparing it with the reality in the field.
