Responsibilities:
- Supervision of subordinates
- Performs installation & service of access control, intrusion alarm, CCTV systems, and other various security related systems.
- Evaluates, diagnoses, and troubleshoots systems and performs repairs as necessary.
- Performs upgrades and additions to systems in order to increase functionality and usability.
- To carry out inventory and provide the required equipment and supplies.
- Transports a variety of items (e.g. tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) to ensure availability of materials required at job site.
- Responds to emergencies during or after duty hours for resolving immediate safety/security concerns.
- To correctly use computer software to add CCTV systems, access control devices, and necessary security signaling systems.
- Coordinates with facilities managers and other trades as needed to complete projects and services efficiently.
- Informs personnel about procedures and/or status of systems to provide necessary information for making decisions, taking action, or complying with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV, access control, and security systems.
- Strong technical knowledge in electronics, networking, and security equipment.
- Ability to supervise staff and work in close coordination with other departments.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Capability to respond quickly to emergencies during and outside working hours.
- Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and security regulations.
- Physical ability to transport and install equipment, tools, and materials.
- Vocational/technical education or certifications in electronics, IT, or security systems (preferred).
- To monitor new security technologies and trends, and ensure the development of systems by applying these innovations to the work environment.
- To conduct training for users on the proper operation of security systems and the implementation of security protocols.
- To analyze existing security policies and protocols and implement updates when necessary.
- To have the ability to remotely monitor and manage CCTV systems, thereby ensuring 24/7 surveillance.
- To ensure continuous technical maintenance of equipment and systems, prevent any malfunctions, and plan for spare parts.
- To prepare regular reports on system performance and present security analytics to management.
